Being a Rams fan has been quite painful for me the past 3 seasons. The Scott Linehan era began and ended in a couple blinks of an eye - okay, so quite a few losses were mashed in between. Jim Haslett took over 4 games into this season. They won a couple of games in a row (Dallas and Washington, seriously, what were you doing?). Subsequently, we have seen 9 straight losses. It has gotten so bad that the games have been blacked out on TV since the Rams couldn't sell out games to America's most popular sport in America's most popular league, the NFL. So what a pleasant surprise it was this morning to turn on the TV and check my TV guide and see that the Rams were on TV today! Okay, so they are on the road. But still...
And now, my abbreviated random musings...
- When healthy, Steven Jackson is a beast.
- Sometimes I find myself betting on teams and losing on them every week. They will cover this week, right? **COUGH** Washington Redskins.
- The Bears offense...terrible.
- Shootouts in hockey are the only good thing to come out of the lockout.
- Kobe Bryant is the man.
Picks through New Years eve (with a new little feature - the % of public bets courtesy of thespread.com)...
Nevada vs Maryland +2.5 (56% of the public is betting MD)
Western Michigan +2.5 (34%) vs Rice
Oregon vs Oklahoma St -3 (60%)
Air Force +3.5 (33%) vs Houston
Pittsburgh vs Oregon St -2.5 (56%)
Boston College -3.5 (74%) vs Vanderbilt
Minnesota +9 (27%) vs Kansas
LSU vs Georgia Tech -4 (64%)
Good luck...
